    Between 1893 and 1897

    Between 1893 and 1897 Lenin...

    Working on the basis that this is like 'In the year... ' I have the above as:

    между тысячей восемьсот девяносто третьим и тысячей восемьсот девяносто седьмым годом Ленин...

    Is this right?

    Usually we say "с ... по...", not "между... и...":
    С тысяча восемьсот девяносто третьего (года) по тысяча восемьсот девяносто седьмой год
