Wow, I didn't even notice that. I thought that it was written by a native speaker but now that you paid my intention to that, I'm not sure anymore.Quote:

Yes. Do you see the edit on my post? It is because I at first wrote "по русски" But then on a second glance i reread the letter and saw that his friend put the й. So for the sake of accuracy to the note i went ahead and edited my post and added the й.Quote:

You're right Dogboy182, by the time I finished writing my post I realized that you had already posted the right answer so I just decided to delete what I had just written.
You just typed to reproduce what was on the piece of paper, whether there were mistakes or not. There's nothing wrong about doing that. And then for no reason TATY went kind of crazy over a little mistake.
Nobody's perfect nor infallible, and like we say "errare humanum est". :)
what's the deal with all the superflous dashes in the letter? Why is the "ш" underlined and there is what looks like some sort of accent mark above the 'т' in 'ты'?
tdk
It's a bar over the Т to distinguish it from M.Quote:

E.g. When the ending ший is handwritten without the underline is can be hard to distinguish the letters.
there has to be a dash between the words as well.Quote:

More precisely, the bars over "t" and "sh" distinguish them from each other ("m" is very different in any native Russian handwriting because it starts with a low hook, and can never be confused with "t").Quote:

Just to let you know...it was my French teacher who wrote the comment in my notebook after I asked (in Russian) for a new one! :D
She learned Russian at university as her first foreign language although she hasn't spoken it in a long time.
Thanks again for the translation!
