    100 Basics

As much as i'd like to learn russian properly, i just can't take the time and devotion it requires. I know most of the alphabet, and several of the grammer laws. But quite frankly i only want the basics right now. A hundred words, the english word, the russian pronounciation, and the russian spelling. So if you ever have the free time, or just feel like helping a culture happy Canadian, stop by and post a few words! Thanks y'all.

    Hey, what's wrong with dictionaries?
Хорошо не просто там где нас нет, а там где нас никогда и не было.

If you don't want to spend money on a dictionary, you could always stop at a library and look the words up.

    thanks

I was already aware of dictionarys and translators on the net, but none functioned the way i needed them too, however i found something on the site translate.ru, which i had only previously visited, that shows the pronounciation.

Well, you could certainly at least learn that there aren't any articles "a" and "the" in Russian.

Вот это да, я так люблю себя. И сегодня я люблю себя, ещё больше чем вчера, а завтра я буду любить себя to ещё больше чем сегодня. Тем что происходит,я вполне доволен!

Не буду ничего отвечать, пусть возьмёт маленький словарь и посмотрит. Anyway, the words in different languages are only loosely connected with their meanings and you cannot say that "this means this in 100%" without a context.

I hope the russian in my previous post was good enough to understand. If not, I'm sorry.

Please follow the URL to the thread regarding the "oldest russian word". I think then you may understand.

Well, I know my Russian is terrible so I had better explain myself.

I was trying to figure out why the gentleman wanted these particular words translated. (I know, this is the part of my "charm" that makes other people *crazy*! )

If you convert the list of words into a table of multiple columns, some meaning may emerge. (Remember the typing monkeys?) Pravit had entertained everyone recently with the beginnings of a parody (excuse me - a very serious epic tale). I was hoping to inspire him to continue.
