Can one just omit the имя?
Is there a shorter way to say those?

Nominative - Именительный падеж

Must one say падеж?

Accusative - Винительный падеж
Genitive - Родительный падеж
Dative - Дательный падеж
Prepositional (Locative) - Местный падеж
Instrumental - Творительный падеж

How does one transliterate Michelle?

If it is, then does it decline like a feminine noun ending in -ь?

You are right about transliteration, but it doesn't decline at all, like all foreign female proper names ending with a consonant sound.

I'd call it "a common order". I don't know how an order can be correct or not. There's a mnenomic rule to memorize that order (by first letters) - Иван Родил Девчонку, Велел Тащить Пеленку

Probably just the order Russians are taught to recite the cases at school? Whenever I've asked Mrs Scotcher to explain a case ending she's always had to go through that list in order to double check that she hasn't lied to me.

This is in a song, but to me the last two lines make no sense... Is this some sort of idiom?
