-A:My new year's resolution is to really commit to working out.
-B:You mean at the gym?
-A:Yеah. I've been gaining weight recently and I don't feel like what I used to be physically.
-B:Well,good luck. Many people plan to do thah at the beginning of each year but their commitments don't last that long.
I'd like to say that I clearly understand all your words in Russian and I realize what do yo mean. Some sentences are pretty close to a native speaker's level. But quite frankly it's no chance that a native Russian speaker say all the sentences in that way as he/she thinks in the other way. :-)
So first of all let me correct a little your grammar.

-Да. Я в последнее время всё толстею и не чувствую себя по-прежнему.
-Ну, желаю успеха! Многие планируют его(решение) в начале каждого года, но их решения не продолжаются долго.
Now these sentences sound better but the next variant sounds a little more natural in Russian

- Да, я что-то растолстел в последнее время и чувствую себя не так, как раньше.
- Ну, желаю успеха. Многих посещают такие мысли в начале года, но не всем удается довести дело до конца.
And last the best variant I've thought is the(?) following. It sounds very natural in Russian, as you guess ;-)

- Да. За последнее время я поправился и уже не чувствую себя в той форме, что был раньше
- Ну, что же. Удачи тебе! Обычно многие люди дают себе обещание похудеть в новом году или бросить курить, но потом их настрой куда-то улетучивается, и всё остается по-прежнему.
P.S. I suspect you easily noted that I am not a native English speaker. :-) :-) :-)

- Я твердо решила - с нового года усиленно занимаюсь собой.
- Пойдешь в спортзал? (качалка also ok)
- Да. За последнее время я набрала лишний вес и чувствую себя хуже.
- Что ж, удачи! Многие пытаются изменить жизнь с начала года, но не у всех получается.

Heh it's funny, astronomer decided that A is a guy and BappaBa decided it's a girl.

Don't you think that for a girl качалка sounds kinda funny :)

Лишний вес смутил; мужики обычно мышцУ подкачивают. Да и Парамита девушка. =)

Качалку взял в скобки как вариант для мужиков. =)
