Thread: Millions of Roses - миллион алых роз

I really like this song - have the Russian words but I don't have the language skills to translate more than a few phrases other than the chorus. Being new to the language - 2nd college semester - I can't understand all what she is saying - anyone know the song in English?

I don't know if there exists an English version of this song, so I translated it from scratch. I doubt you'll be able to sing my translation , but I hope it will give you an idea of what the song is about.

By the way, the song is based on an actual incident. The artist's name was Niko Pirosmanishvili, he was a Georgian. (From Transcaucasian Georgia, not the US one ) .

this reminds me of a russkiy razmer song, where, guy likes girl, girl is a lesbian, guy is a train conducter, gets mad at lesbian girl and runs her over...
It always ends up that way doesn't it ? what a shame.

this morning I popped out to the local продукты for milk. Everything is blinding white now, we've had a load of snowfall over the last week. Just outside the shop, nestled in the snow, is a discarded box, the type they use for packing bottles. On the side, in big black letters, it says :

Thanks for the translation of "Millions of Roses". At least now when I listen to it, I can get those translation neurons clicking in my head (I need all the help I can get to learn this language!)
