A little more translation if that’s ok. P.S. It’s not a real letter. It’s just for my homework

Dear Olga,
On January 15th next year I will travel by plane to St Petersburg.
I will visit the Red Square and the Kremlin.
My hotel is near Gorky Park and is very big and but not expensive.
I have a friend and she told me about the museums in St Petersburg. They are very interesting
Last summer I went to Moscow It was very beautiful.
I like Russian food and Vodka and I will go to a typical Russian restaurant.

15 января следущего года я прилечу в Санкт-Петербург.
Я хочу посетить Красную площадь и Кремль. (well, Red Square and the Kremlin are in Moscow, not in St Petersburg).
Я буду жить гостинице, которая расположена недалеко от Парка Горького (are you sure, Gorky Park is in St Petersburg? well, it's possible, there is one in St Petersburg also, but the well known one is in Moscow), она очень большая и недорогая.
У меня есть подруга, которая рассказывала о музеях Санкт-Петербурга. Это очень интересно.
Прошлым летом я был в Москве. Москва очень красивая.
Мне нравится русская еда и водка, я пойду в типичный русский ресторан.

No, seriously, we students need that kind of help too. It's not like we're just copying-pasting it, at least not in my case.

Well, if you could make an effort yourself, your chances of replies increase an infinte-fold. We get do-my-homework-for-me requests all the time, it gets tedious.

We do make efforts. I just don't post my efforts cause oh well, I dunno, they suck

Red Square and the Kremlin are not in Petersburg.

I think there's also a Gorky Park, in Nizhny Novgorod, er Gorky...

Sorry if it looked like I was cheating on my homework. I'm not really I just need to see if my answers are antything like they should be without embarrasing myself with my attempts online. In the future I'll post my Russian to see if you lot can spot my errors. Thanks again. It really is appreciated.

Don't worry about posting your Russian - even if it's not perfect. This forum is here in part to help people learn. Moreso, i've been here for nearly a year, and have not yet seen a single instance where somebody was looking for help with their Russian and they got flamed or shot down because of poor grammar.

That being said, people catch a lot more heat when it looks like they are just asking a native speaker to do their homework for them.

So... don't be shy!

It's posts like these that make me want to marry you. Well said. Come meet me in Kazan and I'll be your Russian bride. Please make sure to bring lots of money and a green-card application though. Oh, and please don't speak Russian. It will make our relationship bad. And don't mind those two huge guys with the clubs loitering suspiciously in the background.
