This means: Как ты научился русскому?

In English: how have you mastered Russian? How have you learnt Russian?

In American English: How did you learn Russian?

Since you are asking for the translation of a very simple sentence, it looks like you are not quite ready to say я научился русскому. I know I can't, and I've been working on it some 40-odd years.

You don't understand transliterated Russian, is that it?
Well, I don't know what to say. I want to say thanks to the Academy, to Mama, to Papa and to my dog. I love you all.

By "normal" he means "in latin letters, transliterated"

Every alphabet is normal, (Moderated. L.).
From this point of view your Latin alphabet is just a queer version of normal Greek alphabet as it was in the I millenium b.c.
But if normal means traditional for the language, then the normal alphabet for Rusian is Cyrillic. Then yor phrase should have been
"I really don't understand when russian speakers write cyrill in ABnormal alfabet. "
Because to write Rusian words in Latin (even without knowing special rules for this) is really abnormal.

It isn't that hard, skippy. Read the transliterated ("russian in normal alphabet") out loud and it should sound Russian. It shouldn't be that hard to understand then. Especially since you have mastered Russian
