    kabel

    Hi,

Could someone translate the russian word 'kabel' for me please. It was aimed at me as an insult but I can find no reference to it in that context after searching online. It would be nice to know how I am being insulted

Apologies in advance if it is offensive.

    Thank you.

    Re: kabel

I think it's kobel, with a stress on the e. There is the word кабель - kabel (with a stress on the a) which means a cable. Кобель means "male dog, stud, bedhopper".
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

You're right, it's kobel. I was struggling to see how calling me a cable was an insult. Kobel makes much more sense.

Thank you very much for your help Оля.
