Thread: Just a couple phrases

I have a Russian "friend" who sends me messages in English & Russian. I just need these few translated:

"spokoinoi nochi malishka"

"ya otsen zla na tebya sasha"

"ya tebya lyublyu anastacia"

I can read the basic russian alphabet so I could figure these out but my grammar is really lacking.

I'm also wondering, are there any other words besides "красивый" that mean handsome/sexy/hot/good-looking? Thanks for your help.

Я очень зла на тебя, Саша = I'm very angry with you
Я тебя люблю, Анастасия = I love you

handsome/sexy/hot/good-looking = Милый, прикольный симпатичный, сексуальный, прекрасный, замечательный, хорошенький

can you tell me the nuances behind those words?? like are some more indecent? which are acceptable to say to a stranger? etc etc

Just a hunch, but I don't think I'd walk up to (or do the "virtual" online equivalent to that) some stranger and call them "сексуальный." I'm not sure about хорошенький -- it sounds innocent to me, but one of the defs from lingvo is a "pin-up." The rest, though, are pretty mild AFAIK (stuff like dear/wonderful/cool/nice/outstanding).

Милый : Nice, good, pleasant (person)
прикольный: cool, great (person)
симпатичный: handsome, attractive (person)
сексуальный: sexy, hot (person)
прекрасный: good, great (person)
замечательный: great, fantastic, excellent (person)
хорошенький: good-natured, good (person)

In this context "хорошенький" means good-looking or even sexy-looking.

no its not. who told you that? хорошенький = cute

прикольный = fun to be with (slang, not applicable for using in a conversation with i.e. your teacher... unless that was a school task to use this word... which I doubt)

симпатичный: can also mean something like "cute", not "handsome" though

замечательный: I would say "wonderful"

Who is arguing with a dictionary? I just gave my best guesses on the adjectives provided. I am not a dictionary last time I checked !

i don't know about that. did he end up coming over after you said that? then - yes!

well considering it was 2:30 am and he was 20 miles away, I don't think it was possible. But he did ask me out for Sunday.
