Do these senteces make sense grammatically?

The latter one is perfect, but the former makes no sense.

Let's say you, Friendy, were put in a situation where you wanted a sponge bath. How would you demand this in Russian?

I don't think there's a special expression for a sponge bath. So I think that "Я хочу принять ванну и мне нужна губка" will do.
Or maybe even "принять душ" is better. I guess those who visit public bathes may give a better advice.

Обтирания и обливания холодной водой полезны для здоровья.

couldn't you say "give me a bath with a sponge" and use the instrumental??
