Help with small translation please?
So I saw this hat at an antique store, and I'm wondering what the text on it means exactly. That is a socialist symbol in the little emblem thing, so I am curious what the text means.

I have tried online translators, but they don't seem to work at all.
Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
Re: Help with small translation please?
"ВВМУ" is an abbreviation to "Высшее военно-морское училище", so it says "(Higher) Naval School named after Frunze" (this is a cadet's cap).
Mikhail Frunze: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Frunze
* "Higher" is a literal translation, I don't know how to say it in English, or even if it there is an equivalent, because we have a different educational system. The school itself existed in one form or another since 1701.
Re: Help with small translation please?
I think it should be "Frunze Naval Academy". "Higher" means they make lieutenants, not sergeants (or whatever they are called in Navy).

It's semantics. :)
Anyway, why would you translate "училище" as "academy"? They are different things, or at least they are different names: there are ВВМУ - "naval schools", and ВВМА - "naval academies".

AFAIK in USA all kinds of military schools making officers are called academies. Though maybe I am wrong.
