Thread: have, get + verb

What's the best Russian construction to use for English sentences like these, where you achieve something through the agency of someone else (sometimes unnamed)

I managed to have my car fixed.

I was able to have the necessary changes made in the text.

I managed to get pictures put back on exhibit.

I was thinking of using something like Я достиг того, что...

Perhaps you could use мне удалось or получилось or суметь?

If I were to translate those three sentences I would use удалось in each of them (exept for the second perhaps I would just make it Я сделал необходимые изменения/исправления.....)

but the point is that you didn't make the changes yourself, but got someone else to do it. How would you use удалось in that case?

Oh...well if it's someone else and if it concerns all three sentences then I don't think удалось is needed at all...
I would make it this way:

Мне починили машину
Мне исправили мои ошибки в тексте / сделали исправления в тексте
Мне удалось вернуть картины на показ/Я добился того,что картины вернули на показ

I think it all depends on how active you are....if you managed to have your car fixed just asking a mechanic to do it then удалось is not needed...however if you did something extraordinary or just put a lot (or at least some) effort to make anything happen then удалось is pretty ok....that's what I think(добиваться is a synonym...a bit stronger though...it means you really kicked some ass to make something happen)
