I have translated the following sentences. I have a smattering of Russian. People go to gyms and train. I am doing circuit training.
Could you correct my Russian sentences?
[I must do circuit training 3 times a week at the gym.]
I am doing circuit training. - я делаю круговой тренинг
I must do circuit training 3 times a week at the gym. - я должен делать круговой тренинг три раза в неделю в спортзале

My teacher, Tatiana, told me another word for circuit training. I wrote it down. I just combed my book to find it. I can't find it.

I know the reason for having two different prepositions here. How do you distinguish it in Russian?
Usually the bench doesn't have something to rest your body or arms. So it is 'on' the bench. Similary you sit or stand on the floor.
When it comes to a chair, you usually find something to rest your body and arms. So you use 'in' for a chair.
Does the Russian have two prepostions for the chair and the bench?
You can say "I am sitting on a chair".
But you cannot say "I am sitting in a bench".
Я сижу на стуле.
Я сижу на скамье.
It's because you sit on some surface in Russian.
Trickiness is also here, when we comapre two languages:
Я сижу на дереве.
I sit in the tree.

You could say I am sitting in a bench provided that the bench has some parts to rest your body. Today such benches are common in parks. So you could say I am sitting in a bench.
i wouldn't say that I am sitting on a chair.
Now I am writing here. I am sitting in a chair and writing. I have an armed-chair. I find it is very difficult to say that I am sitting on a chair. I am sure there are people to say that I am sitting on a chair.

Well, "am" is not a prepositon, Gorky. It's the first person singular of the present tense of the verb "to be". :?
It's not necessarily "cooked in", as you say. Я сижу can be non-continous too.

But wasn't Gorky talking about an armchair? Hmm...is the preposition for sitting in an armchair - кресло - the same as for стул in Russian? I don't think so, but I can't remember.
I almost always would say "I am sitting on a chair". I do hear "in a chair" often. I just don't say it.Quote:
