ok, i was reading something funny the other day with these two in it and decided to russify it, so i would like to see what translations you russians think the most fitting!

AFC = average frustrated chump. this is the guy that rarely gets any women and if he does it is almost always by luck. most likely the choice of nice guy that becomes the friend for life, shoulder to cry on, but never the boyfriend, always the friend.

PUA = pick up artist. the exact opposite of the AFC, the guys who can approach women without any problems and is usually successful due to confidence.

so, what d'you think the best translation option would be?

The closest idea I know is "ботаник" which has set of qualities you already told and also that guy wears glasses with thick lens.

Almost the same name = "пикапер" (came from "pick up"). The other known name is "клей" ("glue", guy that can stick to any woman). Experienced guy called as "профессиональный клей". The result of job is "склееная девушка" (fooled girl who trusts him).

i was thinking maybe smt along the lines средний/обычный жалкий and them something good for chump (which here is like a synonym for looser)
