Hello, I've been told that joining a forum is a great way to make friends and improve my language skills, and hopefully I'll do just that. I'm a student studying Russian at the moment but with any luck I'll be able to help out anyone who needs it.

Hi. How long have you been learning Russian?
Welcome to the forums! How long have you been learning russian?
EDIT: I just noticed pravit asked the same thing
Not very long, I'm just a novice. I started last year, in my previous school semester. I find the language and the culture interesting. My teacher suggested that I find people to talk with, and my friends suggested I join a forum. You guys are students as well?
Gognitti, tell us a story. What text books does your course require and how do you like your classes?
Everyne of us is a student of something, but not all us go to school :).Quote:

My Russian class uses the textbook "Начало" and I very much enjoy the classes when I can. At the moment my course load does not allow me to take the class officially, so instead my teacher allows me to audit the classes, that is to say that I sit in the class and participate in the activities but do not receive credits for it at the end of the semester. Other than that, I am currently registered in the Health Science program so the work load keeps me occupied. And yes, as for the name, it is a reference to Max Payne, I used to be 'hardcore gamer' but unfortunately I have no time for it anymore. What are all of you studying?
Electrical engineering, and I might "double major" in math, although I really hate it. :) I've been learning Russian off and on for about 4-5 years, never took an actual course, though. What are you studying? :)
