    writing to Russian companies ?

I have written to many various Russian companies requesting calenders, snowboard stickers, postcards...offering to pay for them as well.
I have never had a reply.
Snowboard companies, musical instrument companies (flute) or firearms manufacturers and art museums or galleries are of interest.

How do I effectively write to them so they will be willing to reply and send the items I am looking for?

    Спасибо большое

Also, it's been my experience that Russian firms don't tend to operate in the same way as Western ones. As that old saying goes "Don't try to teach Russians to do business, learn how they do business" (actually, I have no idea where that came from -- it was lodged in my brain somwhere). I don't think most of them put much (if any) funding into PR stuff like this -- I think you'll find that it's close to impossible to obtain unless you're in Russia and pick it up somwhere, for several reasons:
    a. it doesn't exist
    b. there is a language barrier
    c. they aren't going to waste their time talking to you
    d. they don't want to waste their resources on you (you aren't their target audience, just some guy who thinks it looks cool)
    e. their babushka doesn't approve of you

Sorry to be so negative, but I think that's a fairly accurate depiction of reality. I'm sure if you composed something, and wanted help in the "Translate this" section, you'd get that kind of help, but with your real problem, I don't think any of us can help you.
Заранее благодарю всех за исправление ошибок в моём русском.

you made it very clear...thank you. I'll head into Spokane, Washington to some of the Russian markets I have been to and talk to them personally.
