:D It's a simple play of words.
My name is Лев.
But лев in Russian can also be the opposite of the adjective right - правый (and its short form - прав).
Я прав means I am right.
But even when I am right I am "left", because of my name - Lev.
This silly play of words has only one underlieing meaning - I am wrong even when I am right.
There is another member on the forum who is also named Lev and he has a very similar signature. As far as I invented mine about seven years ago in my early student days, I desided to return it back on its place. It was my signature several monthes ago. Now I took the brass plague from the attic floor, polished it and nailed it back to its place.
:D
Ah yes i see now. But what of the first part, dazhe korda?
даже - dazhe = even
когда - kagda = when
Even when I am right I a'm left.
:)
Ah thanks for your patience Lev,or is that Prav ;)
Incidentally would that be the root of the name for the newspaper Pravda, meaning from the right?
Правда (pravda) means "truth", and yes, in Russian the root comes from "right".
Yes absolutely!
Praviy - right, pravda - the Truth have the same roots.
Правый - the one who is to the right, the right one, the truthfull.
Oh i find this fascinating! Would love to visit russia one day, meet up with my friend Eugene(Evgeny) in Siberia. He used to be a D J at radio boomerang!

Native - American English. I'm in an advanced Russian class, my level of Modern Standard Arabic is intermediate (though falling due to lack of use), and I am a beginner in the Kazakh language.
