Need more help with my English language skills
The biggest issue I am currently having is pronunciation,
constructing a sentence with correct grammar, and understanding a
speaker. I am pretty good with reading and saying enough words to get
by but I need A lot more practice. I want to further my British
English speaking but need help and someone who will help me out.
I can offer Russian language help if you need be. :druzja:
I speak English. Some would claim it's "redneck" English, since I'm from the "Southern" United States. :D
I'm glad to find this forum. I would love to learn Russian!
Thanks
My native language is English.
I speak German also and study Russian and French.
Someone said that person can't have two native languages, but he can. My native languages are: Ukrainian and Russian.
PS: it's my first message in here.
American English
(Is that different than British English?)
for example, person from Manchester could say "is here any differences ?"Quote:

Russian
Spanish is my native language, English is my second. I have a mixed baby, Who's father from Russia and it is important to both of us that our child learns Spanish and Russian. So I am trying to learn Russian as well, so in the time I have I am able to speak with my baby in Russian so she knows it just as well as she does Spanish.
I reside in a southern state, Tennessee for now.Quote:

My native language is Russian. ^^
Romanian/Moldavian. I speak Russian fluent,though.
That sounds clumsy, so you wouldn't hear that. Better would be "are there any differences here" - but that's not especially common. But certainly "different from" and "different to" you will hear.Quote:

I doubt it... I've never heard any native English speaker talk like that.Quote:

My native languages is Ukrainian and Russian.
This two languages are very similar. I understand a Polish, Belarussian, Moldavian, cause this languages are real similar. But not a lot of russians can understanding Ukrainian. More interesting to me, how the Swiss understand the three languages at once as native: Italian, Germany and Franch. One year ago I met Swiss who speak this three languages as native, and English in addition. That was umbelievable.
