    http://inauka.ru/news/article69910?subtxt

Then, what is the point in learning Russian? Pretty soon, you won't find anybody to talk to, anyway
Well, I don't know what to say. I want to say thanks to the Academy, to Mama, to Papa and to my dog. I love you all.

Somebody's got to keep it alive, if not the natives, then the foreigners! :P Anyway, it's still better than learning Albanian.

This slang is used commonly by most internet powered schoolchildren and students. The net is quite big

The future of the russian language seems to be not very bright, unfortunately. Look at the wikipedia. I do not even dare to compare the russian part with the english and the deutsch ones with their overwhelming 1,5m and 0,5m of articles correspondingly. But Polish, Netherlands or Svedish achievements really make me sad. Sveden has a population of some 10m people, compared with our 145m, and I do not think that many people outside Sveden speak that language. At the same time the svedish wikipedia is nearly twice as large as the russian one. And the Japanese deserve a grest respect most of all IMHO. They have been making a very significant progress in nearly a heartbeat!

Somehow it turns out that most of the new words in all the areas of science emerge in english, and it is very funny to see how the French are trying to replace "e-mail" with a national analogue :0)
Please, correct my English. Many thanks

Isn't Albanian the same as Russian (in padonki's slang)?

In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

The Russians are lucky because some live in the most remote regions of the world, that is Siberia. So if a worldwide holocaust occurs, (probability __%), then at least some remaining humans will speak Russian. I am sure the French, German, and certainly Albanian speakers do not feel quite so secure! So remember, "There is always a silver lining on even the darkest cloud!"

Are you serious? I don't think you are. Anyhow, if another holocaust occurs, it won't be hard for its organizors to catch those who they'll need. However remote a place they'll be hiding in, they'll be within easy reach.
