Yeah, but if it received probably 30% of that 34% share, it should receive its own category! :lol:Quote:

She is a pink girl. :D
I don't think that conveys quite the same feeling as a "pink guy", if that's a phrase you adapted. A "pink girl", in my circles, means a chav.
Почему я учу русский.... Знаете ли, родившись русской да еще и в России, выбирать особо не пришлось. :D О чем в общем-то и не жалею.
What got me into the Russian language was watching Cosmonaut Valery Tokarev on the NASA channel. :D
I like watching Putin talk about God-knows-what on Вести.Quote:

I don't know... "rosy"?Quote:

You'd come across it, and them, a lot in southern England.
I have a friend that lives in England and he certainly uses the word 'chav' a lot, normally do describe the dregs that hang around in the town that smoke, drink, and generally get into trouble on a daily basis.Quote:

So does "chav" = "gangsta"?
Mmm... sorta. Less organised. Check the link in the post where I first mentioned it, and all will be clear.
Well, ok. I think that you don't realize that "gangsta" is really more of a style now than just gangbanging thugs. But yeah, it does look like the two are more or less the same thing.Quote:

Not THAT kind of gangbanging. Gangbangers are just thugs who rove around in packs committing various acts of thuggery...Quote:

Gangbanger = gang member. Like I said:Quote:

Sounds dodgy.
If I knew what "dodgy" meant, I'm sure I'd have a snide remark to make...Quote:

To be fair, it was basurero who used the word :).Quote:

The main reason why I'm learning Russian is because I love the language.... actually, I love languages in general.. I am what you may call a 'language nerd'. I like to download music in different languages just because each one is so different from English.
My other reasons, however, are because I have many friends who are from Russia. I am a coach for rhythmic gymnastics, or in Russian, художественная гимнастика, so it is commonly used at competitions, since most of the coaches are Russian. 99% of the team I coach is Russian.
My boyfriend is from Kharkov, Ukr. and his family speaks Russian. Although it would be a great idea for me to speak Russian with them to practice, my Russian is extremely limited so I would like to learn more and then practice. Although I do have Russian discussion time with my boyfriend.
When I graduate from school (university), I really want to be a translator... eventually. I also want to visit Ukraine and Russia. And I think that's about all the reasons!
haha! block the buttons, if you know what they are...Quote:
