Someone just quoted me an exchange rate for Belarussian roubles to dollars.
It does not add up with what some exchange rate sites that I checked after he left. I have to pay him a fair bit of money, so the rate matters. The guy seems nice but I have to wonder if he is not giving me a very bad tourist exchange course. What do you think?

Yahoo Finance says: 1 USD is 3045 BYR
Kurs4today.ru says: 1 USD is 4979 BYR
Coinmill says: 1 USD is 5000 BYR

If any Belarussian person reads this, their advice is particularly valuable. Else, am I misunderstanding something, or is he having me on? There are two things I hate to be ripped off with, and that is taxi scams and exchange scams.
