    Uploading PDF Books?

Hi there. I just scanned two books on russian grammar that I would like to share, but don't know where I can upload them to for everyone to download. Also, the book is scanned page by page, meaning pdf file by pdf file. How can I go about putting all the pages into either one big pdf book or some other file that will be easier on space and download time for everyone?

Thanks a bunch hope to share them with you soon, and if I get the hang of this, I will be more than happy to upload some more material that I have.

    Hi violetka,

I use Adobe Acrobat, the one that you pay for. I am not certain about the free version, if it is the same and you did not state which version you are using.

In the version I use, to merge files together or to add single pages to a document here is what you need to do:

Open the first page of the file you scanned and then go to "Document", "Insert Pages", and then open the "File location" of the next page you want to add (say page 2).

It will ask you the "Location" (a dropdown box) of where you want to insert the new page within the document.

Next, are three radio buttons to select from to help further place the new page within the document.
If the new page (page 2) is to be "Before" or "After" the current page (page 1) and should it be "First" or "Last" or a certain "Page Number." Select where you want the new page to be and then click "OK"

You will need to do this for EACH page. You might want to save the file after every few pages as you go in case you mess up along the way. Then if you do mess up, you would start with the new file that you saved with and add to that file the new pages, once again saving every few pages as you go.

You can upload files to share using http://www.mediafire.com/; however, I know that many people put books on http://www.scribd.com/

Here's a screen print for you of Adobe on the insert pages screen.
I only speak two languages, English and bad English.
