I am trying to keep "up to date" on the political situation in Ukraine, which, here in America, is mostly ignored. I am reading the BBC, and Kyiv Post; and I am seeking any other news source (in English) that I can find. Thanks......... Haksaw :sad2:

You can get either emailed versions of it whenever he compiles it or you should be able to access archived editions there as well. I'd recommend signing up for it -- it's free and pretty good. He does it really sporadically -- when a crisis is on, it's pretty frequent -- when there's a lull in the fighting, then they slow down...
Here, in Russia, the Ukrane situation is spotted light upon every hour. I DO hate this. I don't really want to know what these wierd politicians come up with. We're having our own problems, and most information they support is waste-bucket-worth (if it's possible to say this in English).
Sorry, but it's my opinion (charlestonian was the first to have it here :)). It pisses me off to hear people ahing and ohing about Ukrane all the way long as if nothing else can be told. :evil: :(
It's just the media policy of the Russian government - to make it appear as if nothing had happen since 1991 when the USSR had dissolved. In minds of many Russians Ukraine remained the closest Russian province. :) It's an inertia of thought that Russian government encourages still. To me the news from Ukraine are as much important as from Burkina Faso or Oceania unless Ukraine declares war on Russia :D.
I take your point, Rtyom, although I can't say I fully agree with you. I surely don't approve of the fact that the political crisis in the Ukraine has received so much media coverage recently. But I believe that events in the past Soviet states should receive more coverage than what other countries receive. For example, in the winter they often broadcast information about heavy snowfalls in the States. Also, our media seems to have a stake in broadcasting those thriller-like reports of mad American drivers who steal cars and then try to make it as far as possible until the police catch them. I'm not really interested in this when I'm watching the news. It's a mercy that such reports never make the news...Quote:

Логично, что в крутят много новостей, относящихся к политическому кризису в Украине, потому что Украина сосед России и исторически она была частью Советского Союза. Украина и другие близлежащие страны влияют на Россию больше, чем Буркино Фасо. Во всех странах то же самое происходит. В Америке обращают много внимания на страны типа Мексики и Канады (or maybe not haha). У меня в новостях говорят много о Австралии и странах типа Ниуэ. :roll:
А это не значит, что такие новости интересны. Я перестал следить за политикой давно.

Может быть, он использует редкий в русском языке гортанный взрыв. Тогда вариант "об" не обязателен. :)

С моей точки зрения с word order'ом тут всё в порядке. Мне слух и глаз не режет. Я бы и сама могла так написать. Я бы вообще подумала, что этот пост русский написал, если бы не знала, что это не так :)
Да понятно, что можно и так и эдак. Просто с таким порядком слов стилистика выглядит более "по-русски". На слух - да, но в письменной речи, всё-таки корявенько, неопрятно. Потом, я же зелёным выделил - как необязательное исправление. Я бы тоже подумал про русского, но это же форум для изучающих русский, поэтому считаю необходимым делать и такие исправления. Между устным и письменным языком есть разница. Мне кажется, что более грамотными слова basurero будут выглядеть так.
