Math scares me! :o This particular math problem isn't so hard to comprehend. But so much is currently far beyond by scope. I'm not writing myself off though. Though when it's broken up the way you did Fantom, it's not so elusive and scarey. Some people may marvel at how one can get their head around a language or weave their fingers around a piano and make songs from scratch. But me, I can't get my head around a Rubic's cube. Many people seem to be able to do it, but it's a total blind spot for me. It's been a goal of mine to one day at least know the general idea of how to do the Rubic's cube. I don't need to complete it. I just want to be unconfused by it, and to have the general intelligence required to interpret what's going on there. One day, I'll get there. Blind spots in the mind are so weird. They freak me out :o .
I have always been able to understand Math right away... I guess everyone has their talent. I took 8 semesters of Calc in college (Computer Science Major), and mind puzzles and math problems just make sense to me.
Russian, however, is kicking my arse! :) I'm not used to dealing with something that just makes sense after a while, but instead takes years of experience and practice! Even Spanish was fairly easy to understand, since it's a lot more similar to English (read: NO DECLENSIONS!) :lol:

Dude, I suck at Rubik's cubes too, and I'm in a pretty math-intensive major. I'm not too good at puzzles or anything, actually I don't really like math at all, but I can do it.

By the way, with only one stroke, make the equation below true:
5 + 5 + 5 = 550
Two possibilities, the first is to make the = sign into a ≠sign, i.e. five plus five plus five does not equal 550, but that's a 'trivial' answer. The answer that you're looking for of course is that you connect the left and top branches of one of the plus signs to make a four:Quote:
