I have ё in my name, and I f-ing hate when people write е instead of it. It turns out to be ANOTHER name, which even doesn't exist!! And that's why my foreign passport says my first name is Artem when it should be Artyom.

they erected a monument in the name of Ё. i think it should be used in publications and so on, otherwise you might as well just get rid of it
I agree that names are important. Don't even think of letting the ё go in

Same problem with one of my friend's surname. While you have problems with your first name, this friend of mine has problems with his last name. To put it best, it's not actually him having problems, it's those people who don't like to use "ё" in formal documents like registers. Their reluctance to put two dots above "е" leads to his surname being pronounced incorrectly by people who don't know him. Good for the friend that he's quite used to it and doesn't ask to use ё when his last name is pronounced or spelled wrongly. He just keeps silent  Though deep in his soul it might piss him off.Quote:

It sucks that the ONLY place I can find reliable information on stress is gramota.ru, which is a site created for Russians.Quote:

And yeh, I hate rabbits. I'm a great fan of RCD (rabbit calcivirus).
I have a friend with the same problem. His surname is Березёнков, but the people who read it, pronounce Березенков. But we find a decision - we just call him Берёза. :DQuote:

Thank you. This is prove beyond a doubt that even English needs more letters...... hmmmmm.....perhaps an "A" with little dots on top!Quote:

Quote:
