Thread: Scheduled Chat

Now that we have russian chat, the new denizens of the channel have been thinking it might be a good idea to schedule a chat! The purpose would be to make sure people are familiar with how to use it, how to type in it in Russian, and just generally to have some interesting conversations and some guaranteed activity.

We're thinking that on saturday, November 19th, we might find a suitable time, but it's difficult since we live all over the world. Please vote for the time you'd like, and hopefully we will see a lot of people there.

I there any chance to ammend the above with UK time? I am usually ok to talk any time between 5 and 12PM UK time.

I believe that all of England is in the GMT (UTC) timezone.

you can chek your GMT shift in Windows clock (timezone)

it would be great, but the chat script still has a bug with russian encoding!

Why not to add the meeting time in the morning in Russia=the evening in the USA?

While not a clear majority, it looks like the 18.00 GMT (21.00 Moscow, 13.00 NY, 10.00 CA) and later slots are pretty popular. I'll log in around that time. I suspect that there will be folks around through most of the time slots listed in the poll, so if you can't make it at 18.00, log in anyway, we might be around.
