    Any recommendations?

    if you're into Idols, then you are probably into pop music, and I'll sugest Zveri, Alsy, Dima Bilan, Valeriya(or Valerija), Glykoza, Viagra ---gosh, there is just tons of Russian pop

    i'm more into soft rock and rap, so if you are too I'll rather help you with that : Bi2, Zemfira, Mnogotochie, Serega, Detsl, etc.

    Young Pugacheva (in seventies/early eighties) was very good. Some of her early stuff can be found here:
