Thread: Russian music

I am looking for some Russian music CD's I can buy on-line. Can somebody give me some suggestions (i.e. Which groups/bands, which websites to buy them, etc.)?

I like many different genres of music, but I prefer a handful of American groups. I'm obviously looking for these similar sounds. Thanks.

Metallica, Nirvana, Creed, Green Day....I know these aren't very similar to each other, but that's who I like nonetheless. I'm looking for something like any of these.

And how about some names of some good bands. I know it's impossible to tell if I'll like it or not, but i'm just looking for some popular bands (hard rock, metal, etc).

I've looked through amazon.com ... there is nothing that I can recommend to buy.
I think, download free mp3 from russian sites is is the only thing to do.

Bah! MP3's don't work for me. My computer at home is broken, and I cannot download anything on this computer at work. I'm looking to Purchase CD's. If I knew some bands of the type of music I'm looking for, I can manage finding some CD's to order. There's about a million websites out there to buy from. But I need some recommendations on WHAT to buy.

I like Вячеслав Бутусов (he was in Наутилус Помпилиус formerly) and Агата Кристи. I'm sure they are the best

for you possibly they are the best, but not for me. my favourite groups:
Алиса, ДДТ, Кино, Сплин, Пилот

and Мельница of course

As for me, I like Кино, Ария, Машина Времени, Наутилус Помпилиус, Сплин. There are surely a lot of songs of other bands I like on the list of my favorites. For example, I don't like all songs by Агата Кристи but I very much like their song named "Как на Войне".

Here is one of my favorite albums. I must have heard it 100 times from start to end. I like almost all the songs.

It has many songs from many different artists - some you may like, some you may not.

My current favorites are Mirage, Time Machine, Litsei but my list of favorites always changes.
