Hello.
I must to write a report about the russian educational system. I have read the page

Is it accurate? There is anything missing? Someone could give me other directions (in English or Spanish please. My Russian is still bad)?

Sounds about right, I didn't catch anything that I wouldn't consider incorrect.
And by the way, application process to community colleges, or higher institutions require examination before admittance.
In the U.S. you basically take a test which places you at a certain level. You may not take advanced classes, but you still get in.
In Russia, you have to pass the examinations no matter what, or no admittance whatsovever. Of course, the system is now extremely corrupt. All you need to do is pay for a decent grade.
But on the other hand, if you do pass exams, you are admitted. In US I've seen students with very good SAT scores rejected from good universities with no understandable reason. And they don't have to explain why. And never do.Quote:

I had the chance some time ago, to work at a Russian University for a couple of weeks. What struck me most was the traditional way the educational system still works. The students were very good theoratically, but... their education didn't really follow up to 21st century standards... and their knowledge of the english language was in most cases non-excisting. But... in the end I was a lot wiser... Not in the last place about how to get things done in Russia... (The don't worry it will happen someday or not system)
