You might have noticed that our regular forum user rockzmom hasn't been posting for a while. I've got some news from a source close to her family, actually her daughter, that she isn't feeling well and has to stay in a hospital for some time. You can brighten her day with a thought, a message with good wishes, a prayer, or whatever works best for you. I've heard that she would be glad to know that we are thinking about her and missing her here.

Hi all! It’s Roxy again. I want to let you know that after almost 2 weeks in the hospital, my mom is now FINALLY HOME! She must be tired as she has not even tried to go on the computer As soon as she is feeling better she will be back online (well AFTER she has takes me to see Harry Potter!)

After being with her almost 24/7 I learned a few things about hospitals and thought I would share them with u.

1. If someone ever offers to put an IV in your neck or foot, JUST SAY NO! Trust me on this one.

2. Nurses are ur best friends in the hospital and do more than the doctors, so be nice to them.

3. Blood thinner shots cause u to have bruises in the strangest places, so if u ever get one (or several) and then a few days later notice bruises, bingo.

4. A training hospital with students is tight because all the students want 2 learn and please the big doctors, so you get really good care and u get to learn when the big doctors explain everything 2 the students… BUT… the students also have to learn, so they like to “play” doctor on you, like putting IVs in your neck.

5. A pulse rate around 40 or below or bloood pressure of 80/50 is great for a world athlete, just not normal people.
