Thread: Red Army Choir

In my quest for learning Russian, I am trying to get used to listening to Russian language by listening to music.

After trying Meladze, now I have switched to the Red Army Choir (strange coupling, isn't it?).

Wow! What a beautiful choir!!!

I have found the Soviet anthem, the anthem of the Russian navy, Kalinka, Katiusha, and Oci ciornie.

Do you know where I can find other songs of the Red Army Choir?

By the way, does the choir still exist? Or it ceased to be after the collapse of the USSR?

This site also has great collection (songs and speechs). It is devoted to so-called Soviet mass song (Soviet music culture of 1930’s – 1950’s). All records are dated of 1930’s – 1950’s only.
