Yes, indeed - he's been in the papers regularly, although I am not actually sure why.
His short life seems rather tragic to me; I am sure he would have been much happier on the ices of the Arctic than as a spectacle at a zoo!
As I understood the news stories, the exact reasons for his death are not known.
