    Playground Equipment

    My understanding is that:
качели - covers swings, seesaws, and teeter-totters

догонялки or салочки - both mean tag

Are these correct and are their any other terms associated with playground equipment or games?
    Would follow-the-leader be
I'm guessing that there are some games and equipment common to both the USA and Russia, but there are probably some unique to each country.
    Help!!! Thanks!!!

    Never heard of swing thing.
Свинг, лидер - were impossible words in my childhood, but much time has passed so who knows...
Looks like 100% of children study English nowadays.

Games should be mostly the same, I think. Can you recognize these ones:

This word then sounds the same as the English word. I never heard it used in Russian, though.

It is interesting that карусель for merry go round is similar to carousel, which is another English word for merry go round

Both are borrowed from French саrоussеl which is from Italian carosello (possibly from carro ‘chariot,’ from Latin carrus ‘two-wheeled wagon’).
