    Need help

I can speak, write, read and think Russian. Please, help me to bring a puppy from Sanct Peresburg, Russia. My freind has a puppy for me and we are looking for a passenger fying from Sanct-Petersburg, Russia to Washington DC, USA. My friend will take care about everything in Sanct Petersburg. You will just claim the puppy is yours, and I will meet you at the airport and pick up the puppy. We can discuss the details further later on.

What are you going to do with that puppy?
Well, I guess, you could make some good money by selling the puppy in the UK.... How good is the puppy business in Britain?

Seriously, Ufimych, are you sure that you have to go this trouble of asking someone flying from St. Petersburg to the States to bring you that puppy? Well, I mean that there might be some other ways of bringing a pet from one country to another even when a pet is travelling alone.
And are there rules in the US that oblige you to quarantine the pets you are bringing over from another country? As far as I'm aware, in Britain you have to place your pet under six months' quarantine before it is officially allowed to 'live' in the country.

You will have problems. You can't just bring an animal into the US. Here are the regulations: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dq/animal.htm

If the puppy is very young, it will have to stay at customs in quarantine for 30 days. You will probably have to pay for this service.

I am importing in USA and exporting dogs outside of USA for at least 15 years, mainly puppies. The last female puppy I got from Almaty, Kazakhstan was in July, 2006. I know of regulations. Dogs have the same diseases in Russia and in USA. No problem with this. No quarantine is needed. All formal documents are done in Russia prior to departure. Airlines are well familiar with them. Dogs fly in and out all the time. I looking for a serious person, who would be willing to help. It does not take any sacrifices. The puppy will fly in the luggage compartment in the same plane. I wil be notified and I will be waiting for your arrival in the airport. I am not new with this.

Has this puppy swallowed any contraband. Maybe a small explosive device or narcotics wrapped in plastic?

Yes, well we don't want any puppies wearing suicide belts blowing up jet airliners for absentee owners now, do we?

BTW, that's a great way of blowing up planes. I will have a good hard think about this way of transporing drugs and weapons.

It's rather odd - chaika says any puppy which is brought into the US has to be kept in quaratine for 30 days whereas Ufimych says no quarantine is needed.

Hey, you guys! Stop writing all kind of bull shit. I need help and you should take it seriously, because I am good.
First, may ancestors have never had slaves, black slaves. Therefore I am not a supporter of affirmative action.
Second, I have never been on drugs.
Third, all money I have I had earned and now I am retired.
Fourth, I love nature, dogs and hunting. Therefore, I pretty green
Fifth, I do not belong to any hate groups. However, I do not like and do not respect animal rightists.
Therefore, be kind and help me to bring that good puppy from Sanct Petersburg. This is a good puppy and I am a good man and both he and I need each other to go hunting here, in Virginia.

I'm not sure I believe this. When I moved to Poland, I brought my cat with me and had to practically jump through hoops in order to get all of the paperwork signed and stamped by the USDA and my vet. Coming into the US though I had to check state regulations for the airport I was flying into because each one has different requirements. Puppies are a little different because they have to be over a certain age to be vaccinated.

Also, I don't recommend putting a puppy in the storage compartment as the airlines ask people to sign a waiver acknowledging that the temperatures can be extreme.

Also, what's wrong with animal rights?! The people you are making money off of will probably care very deeply about the animal you're selling them so you might at least pretend to have some compassion for your product.

    Good luck.

How do you know he needs it? I think some animal rightists must know about your intention.

sorry to interfere, but one thing makes me wonder; why would you try so hard to import dogs from Russia, if you just need one to go hunting with you? Has America ran out of puppies? Or perhaps the Russian dogs are just different from the American ones? It doesn't really make much sense, you know.

Are you seriously interested in dogs? If so, I have published a book (in co-authorship with Jill Moore): "Primitive Breeds - Perfect Dogs", Don Hoflin Publ. Yes, not all dogs are created equal. Some better then others. Perhaps now, Russia still has some dog breeds, whcih are a lot better then eslewehere int he world and a few are really unique breeds:
Russian Borzoi and hunting Laika breeds. Even old popular hunting breeds of West European origin are better in Russia. This is because they have been bred by hunters for other hunters. Now, things are changing rapidly. pop dog show culture is spreading in Russia and former USSR republics. Dogs degenerate. We are working hard to resist the trend. This puppy is a Tazy puppy, the Central Asian breed, out of really hunbting lines.

About animal rightist groups. Does anyon doubts that this is another weird mix of religion and ideology spread among city slickers in well fed countries? Do you think they love animals? No. THey want to change you to become like them. Read what their leaders say in their onw environment and hide form the rest of us. I came to their forums to fight them, but they kicked me out promptly.

"We have no ethical obligation to preserve the different breeds of livestock produced through selective breeding. . One generation and out. We have no problem with the extinction of domestic animals. They are creations of human selective breeding." Wayne Pacelle, Senior VP of Humane Society of the US, formerly of Friends of Animals and Fund for Animals, Animal People, May, 1993

And more: "If you haven't given voluntary human extinction much thought before, the idea of a world with no people in it may seem strange. But, if you give it a chance, I think you might agree that the extinction of Homo Sapiens would mean survival for millions, if not billions, of Earth-dwelling species ... Phasing out the human race will solve every problem on earth, social and environmental." "Les U. Knight" (pseudonym), "Voluntary Human Extinction," Wild Earth, Vol. 1, No. 2, (Summer 1991), p. 72.

Do you still like them? I do not.

It's of the same rank as feminism. Another useless and stupid movement. They'd better check their heads and get a life.

Animal rightists is the only group in USA, which makes me think seriously about rights to bear arms. I used to be for gun control. When I learned more about AR firsthand, in their forums, I have changed my mind. Every natrure lover or aniimal owner should be aware of them.

Modern airlines regulations are very strict and they secure safe delivery of a dog or a cat alive and well. I repeat, I have imported dozens of puppies from Russia and sent one puppy to Sanct Petersburg. I shipped with airlines dozens of puppies from Oklahoma, where I lived for 10 years, to other states and from Virginia to other states. My loast imprted from kazakhstan puppy arrived in June, 2006.

Also, what's wrong with animal rights?! The people you are making money off of will probably care very deeply about the animal you're selling them so you might at least pretend to have some compassion for your product.
Animal rights movement has very little to do with love to animals. This emotionalsim is their tool to raise money for their political cause.
Just read what their leaders and idologists say, when others are not around:
“I don’t have a hands-on fondness for animals…To this day I don’t feel bonded to any non-human animal. I like them and I pet them and I’m kind to them, but there’s no special bond between me and other animals.” Wayne Pacelle quoted in Bloodties: Nature, Culture and the Hunt by Ted Kerasote, 1993, p. 251.
In fact, PETA is busy with extermination of animals as a part of their struggle to eliminate "slavery".

    Good luck.

call me a lay person, but a dog is a dog for me!
I do take your word that there is a difference, however absolutely incomprehensible for me Except maybe for the fact American dogs say "woof" and the Russian ones "gav".

as for the animal rightists; I do believe too strong supporters of any ideology are very much dangerous in one way or another. However, some protection for the animal rights is needed so that we don't take it too far. Obviously, I don't mean the extremists who seem to be thinking the rights of animals are more important than human's.
The group that I find more terryfying are eco-warriors. Now, they REALLY freak me out.
