I enjoy a song by Oleg Gazmanov called Novoya zarya.

I like "Life" by Sektor Gaza. Don't know about the rest of the band's music, though.

As a mater of fact as far as I know the band Тату is about the best they've got! But they have nothing close to the British and American legends we are used to hearing.

I like songs by seryoga. He does rap songs mostly.

Hello to all, IMHO TATU is vulgarity, Oleg Gazmanov - betwix and between. "Sector Gaza" - is interesting but too many russian "mat".
The most preferable are "Tchaif" (old hits), DDT (some things), "Nautilus Pompulius" (some things). Good pop music can be presented by Natalya Vetlisckay, "Plazma". Sorry I can't remember else, maybe later.

my friend says she likes this "Zveri" band i cant find any music on though. anyone heard of "Tarakani"? they re a punk band they sound decent but, I cant understand them too well but now i cant find anything on them .

I didnt think Russia has left the 70s in music anyways,most of my russian friends are still listening to mashina veremini still. I'll try to post a music video soon it sounds like a catchy song.

Russian Rap?? I have no clue.

But I got hooked on DDT (not our DDT... but the band DDT, after hearing them live in concert, in Washington, DC about 6 years ago.

I think DDT is similar to "Crosby, Stills, Nash and Neil Young", mixed with some Harry Chapin and some James Taylor. DDT's music is from the heart... I remember during the concert... Alesya, and her friend Tanya... both of them were crying, laughing, singing, jumping, happy, sad... and both saying they missed home (Minsk and Moscow).

I continue to listen to DDT.
