    learning russian...

    Hi to all iam new here....

    i would like someone to point me in the right direction into learning russian language...

    Iam realy new to the language so please ponit me to some basic first.

    What should i start with....

    question = is the russian alphabet just straight forward like ours. Is it in order like this


    А а = english A

    Б б = english B

    В в = english C

    Г г = english D

    Д д = english E

    Е е = english F

    Ё ё = english G

    Ж ж = english H

    З з = english I

    And so on realy need help on this i dont understand at all.......LOL

    Why is A B C D E straightforward? What makes that the RIGHT order. Yes it's right for English, but Russian isn't English.

    This has got to be my favourite ignorant post of 2006.

    What happens after z and you still have 7 more russian letters? No the alphabet isn't in the same order as English.

    If you wish to learn Russian, I suggest browsing the main site, like everyone else said. Like the beginner section here

    No, бранить = ругать. I can't think of a good translation now, I'm not even sure if there's a single Russian word for it. My best guess "издеваться".

    look. get emule, write in "pimsleur russian" and download lections. it's the easyest way to learn basis...
