The postal worker suggested it because it was cheaper. I had no idea First Class Mail International could be problematic. I've always had to use Priority Mail International due to the weight of the package - greater than 4 pounds.

The package usually reaches Russian border within 5 days but then it could easily sit on Russian customs for 2-4 weeks
