LOL I dont know Russian yet, but I know Skype, and the last time I used Skype for tutoring, I could not understand a word the tutor said.
Did not seem that Skype was that stable.
i talk to my gf in moscow via skype all the time, quality is great - both on mobile and when she's online!
Well it works! I just called a friend in Australia on my cell phone with it.
I tried calling someone in Australia on their cell phone but could not get through. I'm not sure if that is because I did it wrong or the feature is not available.
Well, wait till you see the bill!

I called her land line and had no problems. But when I tried a cell phone number I could not figure out how to get through. I might have just dialed it wrong because cell phone numbers in Australia are weird numbers!

I just called Germany using it. Call went right through, no commercials. Quality of the call was good (for free it's great). What's the catch?

You will just have to dial the cell number yourself to find out. Every country has a different set-up for cell phones. I have dialed two different Australian cell numbers several times and so too has a friend here and we can't get through but that may only be because the agency that has a monopoly in the Australian telephone system are a bunch of money grabbing fukwitts!
and if it doesn't work the first time, try again!
