Sorry, but mine's borsch...my ex-wife made the best, next to Pushkin's in Moscow, but alas I don't have her recipe. She and her mother would add a few things to spice it up.

For what it's worth, we have 'kebab' restaurants all over Madrid, but they are basically grilled lamb, or chicken, skewers, or gyros (similar to Greek). Exactly - grilled lamb kebab (ягнево кебабче - is that how they call it in "Moscow" Russian, btw? I'm not sure, please correct me, fellow Russians, I only know a "village" name, I'm an ignorant peasant) - is Russian and happens to be my favourite.
kebab is our traditional food 8) and we are proud of it :wink: :P
