Wow!! Since I read the book a few years ago at university, I always thought it would be cool to see it done on the screen. Pretty nifty. Anyone know if it will be possible that they might release it in some form so that those of us around the world could see it?
((By the way, Woohoo! Go Me for my very first post!!))
I finished reading the book a few weeks ago! I must see this!
You guys don't read the "In Russian Only" section do you?

Yes, I did read that thread. Hence, I found this story somewhat pertinent, but freed myself from the shackles that are the "In Russian Only" section.
That contradicts your signature.Quote:

Somehow an article in English just didn't seem right in the "In Russian Only" section.
TATY: No need for personal attacks, so I'll leave your mother out of this.
Darobat: What fun would life be if we couldn't contradict ourselves now and then.

I have neither read M&M nor seen the film, but I found this quote from the CNN story to be revealing:
"Last night I saw this not-naked-enough woman flying around," said Yevgeny Skepner, a 38-year-old computer programmer, referring to Margarita's broom scene."
There you have it: the nudity in this series is found to be wanting by computer nerds! +5 points for using "not-naked-enough" in a sentence as well -- but how would he have said this по-русски?

So, ReD, go ahead! ;)
Yes, go ahead - it's a fab book! :D
As for a movie.... I'm not sure I'd want to see it... :|
The book conjures up so many images in your mind that I don't think it is possible to transfer even a fraction of them to a screen - too confined.....
Some books are better left to the imagination and the fantasy, methinks..... (cfr Lord of the Rings...... terrible letdown :x )

OK, guys, I'll probably start reading as soon as I've done all of my exams...I mean as soon as I've scraped through them.
As for the Lord of the Rings, I liked all of the three movies very much. I know that there is considerable digression from the original books but I prefer to see this movie as a movie .
I suspect the real reason to be laziness, those books are pretty big and should not be lifted if you have a bad back!Quote:

Oh, I misread your post. Seemed to me that you didn't want to read the books, because the movies were so good. A thousand apologiesQuote:

Did not realize all posts are in English. Well, I know that I will be disappointed in the movie. It is important to portray Margarita the way Bulgakov had her in his mind. It was ot his wife. His wife was a prototype for Begemot, as they pointed out together a few times. Margarita was "the other woman" with fair eyes and light brown hair.
Oh, there's no need to apologize, kalinka_vinnie! You didn't say anything that could upset me. Even if you had I wouldn't be angry with you.Quote:
