Nikita Kasperchik, witness of the crash recalls:
“I was driving along the Kievskoe highway. Suddenly a huge lump of snow flew in my direction. First, I did not understand what it was. Then it mixed with the acrid smoke. It became clear that a plane crashed.
I parked the car, jumped over the barrier and ran to the plane. Its front part was on the highway, blocking two lanes. Rest of the fuselage was lying on the roadside.
We heard voices. Few more men ran up to the plane and we started to pull out stewards and stewardesses. We pulled out a guy and a girl, and another guy out of the cockpit.
I got into the plane itself and heard a moaning woman. I tried to get closer, but everything was broken and I fell somewhere under the floor. There was some huge pumped bag – maybe inflatable ladder? It occupied the whole interior. I dragged it aside, but could not understand where the moaning was coming from.
At this moment a wing of the plane started burning. I told the guys that there was a girl, and one of them came to the cabin. Together we found her under the seats.
The tail part of the plane was tilted down. At this time the workers of emergency services already started cleaning the debris. We shouted that there was another person. They came and helped us to take her out.
She was in bad state: looked like both of her legs were broken, she was complaining of the strong pain in legs. Another guy, from those whom we pulled out, said that he felt strong back pain – he hardly could move.
It was impossible to get into the cabin – we did not manage to break the glass. Later, the workers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived and told us: it’s okay, guys, move away, we will take it from here.”
