Alternative Russian Language Course in Russia? Дешёвые курсы

Hello everybody,
I'm studying Russian at the university and would like go there next semester via exchange. However this was harder than I thought - the only exchange offered from my uni is North2North, but none among those russian universities offer russian language courses for foreigners. The normal language courses via private companies are too pricy for me as well.
Question: Do you know of any "alternative" language courses/schools in Russia with resonable prices? A few years back I learnt german in Berlin in a alternative language school called Babylonia, it was very pleasant and friendly and so on, hopefully not just a german phenomenon.
Question 2: What do you think about going to, say Moscow, and put up an ad to make contact with a teacher there to take private lessons. What about the official invitation then?

Lastly, I have to point out that I see this as punk, some just call it cheap. Doesn't matter, I can't afford 4000€/semester anyway.

Я шведский студент и хочу зчаю о бозможностях что едет на например Москве и туда находитьця "алтернативный" курсы Русского языка, то есть дешёвых курсы, может быть из учителних с сосиалный или политическый мнение. Второй вопрос: работают едет на н.п. Москве и там личного учитела находиться. У меня не денег для нормалного русских курсы, потому-что я искаю алтернатив =)

To be honest there are no cheap courses, it is quite possible you'll find it in other city, but it'll be very far from Moscow. The average cost of 1 lesson in Moscow from 15 euro (45 minutes). I think, just you need to find the person who will teach you Russian. It is possible to find through Skype for example. Volunteers will be much.

I beleive, that for those who learn there German, it is pleasant, friendly, and useful, but Russian part of this site is [censored].

And if you want to know prices and the schedule, you can find them only in German.
Если они преподают русский, то почему не смогли написать нормальное вступление и даже страничку с расписанием и ценами на русский не перевели? Я не верю в их профессионализм.

There is a proverb in Russian, that can be translated as "A stingy one pays twice' (there are other variants, e. g. "miser pays twice"). Скупой платит дважды.

I don't understand you. What do you mean by "North"? If they can offer you any Russian institute of higher education, even if what they offer is not a course of the Russian language, but another course you're interested in, use this opportunity. You can find a private teacher of Russian in that city yourself, and it is better to find him/her beforehand. I don't see any other official way to go to Russia during the semester, except institutes/universities/"normal language courses".

I have never heard about going to the private teacher for a semester and I don't know if it is possible at all. But I can say that Russian students in Russian universities are not allowed to do such things. )))

I would recommend to find Russians who learn Swedish. E. g. here:

also on language forums and language exchange sites. Skype is also a great one for this purpose, as long as other messengers. The most popular messenger in Russia is ICQ.

The Babylonia school was merely an example of alternative language teaching, if there would be such an alternative in RUssia that would be perfect. I've thought it all over however and come to the conclusion that I don't really need to do ordinary school lessons in Russia - just to get in contact with russians and some good grammar books should be sufficient.
Nort2North is a exchange program for universities around the Polar Circle. Via N2N you can go to universities in Murmansk, Surgut, Syvtykar and Yakutsk, among those the only OK alternative for me would be Surgut or Murmansk, which are reasonably close to the rest of the world (from my perspective at least).
I've registered a user at unilang and will do so at vkontakte.ru as well, its a great idea to have some russian on the ICQ/MSN available for chat.
Your post got me thinking about why i'm going, and its of course because of the language at firsthand, but also to participate in russian society as much as possible. I found a orphanage in Kaliningrad where I can go and help out, and in return will be able to practise russian 24/7.
