Для меня он из таких актёров, чьё имя, указанное в числе ведущих исполнителей, уже повод посмотреть такой фильм.
Snape!
Before Harry Potter, he was probably most famous for the character "Hans Gruber" from Die Hard.
I think he's a popular and well-known actor. However, I think he wasn't generally well-known until the Harry Potter movies. Before that, most people would probably not have known his name, but they would definitely have recognized him and known some of his films.
Ha-ha, yes, I remember that bad guy in Die hard.Quote:

Could someone please write down what Alan Rickman here says? What does he say before the words "classic fool"?
I suspect the Russian translation I heard (in the second audio-track) is quite inaccurate...
It would be very nice if someone write down all the dialog, but if it's hard - please only Rickman's cues (hm, is "cues" ok here?...)
Thanks in advance very much! :)

Объясните мне кто-нибудь, пожалуйста, что значит it's early в данном контексте. Спасибо.Quote:

In Britain he is a very famous actor, yes. Probably before Harry Potter he wasn't that famous among younger audiences though.
Almost all the adult roles in the Harry Potter films were given to accomplished and well-known British actors.
The Sheriff of Nottingham, and the bad guy from Die Hard, is in the Harry Potter movies?
Я это не знал: я старый. Слишком старый?
(sorry for my Russian)

Погорячилась.
He says "I'm so in love with you."
It's early = It's too early for me to think properly.
You haven't to apologize for your Russian anywhere and ever on this forum. You are welcome to try and increase your language skill. In my belief it's one of the reasons this site has been created for.Quote:

You should use "lines" instead of "cues". A cue is the moment you should start saying your lines.Quote:

Спасибо Freeloader, и прости(те) мне, Оля, for hijacking your thread. :wink:Quote:

Tell me, if you were in my position, what would you do?
What position is that?
Imagine your husband bought a gold necklace
and, come Christmas, gave it to somebody else.
- Oh, Karen... - Would you wait around to find out...
- Good night. - Night, darling. Happy Christmas.
Would you wait around to find out if it's just a necklace
or if it's sex and a necklace
or if, worst of all, it's a necklace and love?
Would you stay? Knowing life would always be a little bit worse?
- Or would you cut and run? - Oh, God.
I am so in the wrong.
A classic fool.
Yes, but you've also made a fool out of me.
You've made the life I lead foolish, too.
Darling.
Да, Лёва, возможно. Но в любом случае он не говорит "Не знаю, не думал"! :lol:Quote:

It seems like he always speaks in his nose. :DQuote:

Hense, he didn't say sorry
And yes, he's always speaking like that.
Likewise, 'It's late' means it's too late (вечером) to think properly.Quote:

I wish I was further in my learning Russian so I could write that in a language which is SO much cooler than boring old English
Noooooo, it's not late at all! :lol:Quote:

I thought that he was well known when he played the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. He was great in that role. He is in the new Johnny Depp movie too.
I like Alan Rickman in alot of his roles- I remember I first saw him in the movie Galaxy Quest as a kid and i repeated a line involving "let's get off the bloody ship" and then... I was forced to sit in a corner with soup sitting in my mouth... :( But I particulary love him as Snape in Harry Potter...
I first saw him in "Perfume". Then... I don't remember precisely, but I think it was "Love actually" or "Snow cake", and then "Dark Harbor". So I first saw him all the time in positive/character roles and I didn't know he was Mr Cinematographic-Bad-Guy until I saw some other movies. :)
As for Sheriff of Nottingham, I can't say I liked him very much.
I think he's really great in "Perfume".
And I liked his Judge in "Sweeny Todd" (new Johnny Depp movie) very-very-very much.
P.S. Please correct my mistakes / style. Thank you.
He's really a great actor- he's really talented, handsome, and his voice is sooo awesome!!
