    both ... and ...

Help me to improve this sentence in English and then translate it in Russia.

"In our company we believe in both the power of ideas (but) and in the significant difficulty in applying them to business operations.

Why it does not sound well?
    The structure is correct.
    Isn't it?
Чем больше слов, тем меньше они стоят.

"В нашей компании мы верим как в силу идей, так и в значительные сложности их применения в бизнесе".

Хотя, выражение "верим в сложности" звучит странно, лучше как-то перефразировать. Например: "верим в силу идей, но понимаем, как сложно применять их в бизнесе". И не помешало бы побольше контекста о том, что за идеи.

С английским вариантом не могу помочь.

both ...and , однозначно там (but) лишний., ну и in перенёс

In our company we believe both in the power of ideas and in the significant difficulty in applying them to business operations.

Немного порядок слов смущает...я бы начал предложение с We believe, но это сугубо субьективное ощущение, не могу аргументировать

This sounds a little better, but the sentence overall does sound quite odd. I can't put my finger on it.

    Может, двоеточие поможет?

In our company we believe in both: the power of ideas and in the significant difficulty of applying them to business operations.

Ну, нет. Там это не необходимо.

It just sounds like something that no one would ever say, even in business. The significant difficulty of applying ideas to business operations? It's just fluff. Also, the sentence states that the company has a belief in this statement, which is awkward. Remove the other part and you get this:

In our company we believe in the significant difficulty of applying the power of ideas to business operations.

Yes, that's worse, and makes even less sense. Sounds like some bull from this company's PR (Public Relations) department. XD

I know, I'm overanalyzing it, but that's what I'm referring to when I say "it sounds odd." The sentence itself is correct though in terms of grammar.

Мне кажется "верим" тут неуместно. Верят когда не _знают_. Что для бизнеса звучит не солидно.
Имхо, по русски это должно звучать примерно так:
В нашей компании мы знаем какую силу могут иметь идеи, но знаем так же и то, как трудно бывает их иногда реализовать.

The verb "to believe" needs to go, for sure. And "difficulty" sounds too pessimistic -- better to use the noun "challenge." How about something like:

We respect the power of new ideas -- and the challenge of bringing them into the workplace.

That's if you want "power" and "challenge" to be objects of the same verb "respect" (which works in English, but I'm not sure how it will sound in Russian).

Is this meant to be a "mission statement" or an "advertising slogan"?
